Our History
Capacis (pronounced “KAY-pa-sis”) is an Emeryville-based
design studio providing graphic design and project management of Web-based
and traditional print projects.
Capacis brings 20 years of experience, award-winning design
and exacting project management to every communication opportunity. We act
as your in-house marketing communications department. All the services of
a large design firm or creative agency are available to you, without the
usual agency mark-up or project overhead costs.
Capacis is a woman-owned small business certified to participate in corporate Supplier Diversity programs by the California Women & Minority Business Enterprise (WMBE) Clearinghouse (California Public Utilities Commission).

Our Development Process
Planning
Meetings with clients to refine overall project requirements and brainstorm
design ideas.
Site Architecture
Defining the project deliverables via timeline. With Web-based
projects, this phase includes creating site maps for demonstrating linking
functionality.
Design
Based on the previous phases, creating visual design drafts to satisfy the
marketing requirements and desired "look and feel."
Production
After the design phase is completed, creating pre-press
or Web-ready final
designs, paying attention to the details of print production and browser testing.
