APL Limited Since 1986, APL Limited (American President Lines), one of the world’s largest ocean transportation providers, has commissioned an annual calendar to give to its customers as a year-end gift. The 2001 calendar won a Best Communications Collateral Award from the Transportation Marketing and Communications Association. 2001 Annual Holiday Gift Calendar The 2001 APL calendar used illustrations of 13 different countries to support the theme of trade as a global conversation bridging all cultures. We managed all aspects of the project, commissioned and art directed the artists, managed the print production, and coordinated worldwide distribution (75,000 calendars shipped to over 100 countries.) The calendar was featured in Communication Arts March/April 2001 issue.
